my short singapore getaway (part 1)

hey guys! it's been awhile since my last post. i've been busy with my personal matters and even when i settled them, i was quite lazy to write a post lol. going straight to the post, this is a belated post about my singapore getaway from 2nd july (saturday) to 4th july (sunday) (which is more than a month ago? O_O ) so, i'm going to divide the post into 2 or 3 parts, depending whether i'm diligent enough lol because it's going to be a photo adventure rather than words. and yup, all photos are taken with either my old sony camera or mobile phone, so you'll see my awkward placement of watermark on the pics. enjoy~

ryu's first time in singapore

i borrowed this touch n go card from a church member who is working in singapore. a'me said that it was much more convenient for me to borrow one if i were going to travel to the country. she was right. this card made my journey much more easier and smooth. it can be used for both mrt and buses.

you'll see this general ticketing machine (gtm) at every mrt station. you can buy your mrt ticket here or topup your touch n go card.

a kind lady at the kranji mrt station gave me the map of mrt station in the photo and explained to me how to get to my destination. bless you, kind lady~

i took an mrt before when i was travelling with my sisters in kuala lumpur last year but it was my first time taking an mrt in singapore alone. i repeat, ALONE lol i took an mrt from kranji to jurong east then took a change line mrt from jurong east to clementi all by myself with a backpack and also two large baggage which belong to a'me lol can you imagine? xD

there weren't much people on the mrt that day (or i could have remembered it wrong lol i have terrible memorizing ability so i'll just go with the photos xD )

so i like mentioned earlier, i was heading to clementi. a'me and i finally met each other again after one month since she left for singapore at the clementi mrt station. she took me to her shared apartment with my other friend which is also her senior at the company she's working at, nancy~ after resting for awhile, we headed to clementi town centre to have our lunch. oh and the lady in the pic is a'me :)

Gardens by The Bay

After we finished lunch and met with another friend of ours, reyna, the four of us headed to singapore's gardens by the bay. the tickets were sponsored by my generous friend, nancy. i couldn't thank her enough for that. she told me that gardens by the bay always have theme for their exhibitions and the theme for that exhibition that day was lilytopia. you'll see a lot of lilies in the photos i took :) the photos galore starts now!
