Top 5: bad habits of people in the public that i can't stand

(i made this lame edit using my phone lol)

after abandoning this blog for more than a month, ryu is finally back! and i'm going to commemorate my return (LOL) with my top 5 series! /clap clap clap/ i think i would be doing lots of top 5 series cuz it's literally the most written draft in my notebook.

being the introvert i am, i am a homebody who prefers to be at home most of the time. but sometimes, whether it's planned or not, i still have to go out into the public. and every time i go out, i understand why i prefer being at home. in this post, i would like to share the top 5 , in no particular order (I HATE THEM EQUALLY I HATE THEM WITH BURNING PASSION) bad habits of people in the public that i seriously can't stand.

1. Smoking in the bus

until early july of 2016, i lived away from my family and that required me to take public buses to go places.  i took a bus every weekday to get to my workplace. and especially during weekends, i needed to take 2 buses, sits for 3 hours, to go to the capital city to attend church's service. i like taking buses, really. but the problem lays within some people who i think don't know how to read or simply ignore the sign below.

(i can't find a malaysian bus one so this will do)

no smoking. NO SMOKING. yet, there are still individuals who i will regard as ignorant humans who pretend this sign doesn't exist. i seriously despise it when people smoke in the buses, especially air-conditioned buses. sometimes i feel like going to these people's face and say 'hey its the public, not your house. if you want to burn your lungs to ashes, go ahead, but not in the bus cuz i still need my lungs.' sometimes even the bus drivers smoke in the bus. i thought they were supposed to be the example? there was one time that a bus driver smoked in the bus and i was dying to tell him about the no smoking sign, i was thinking of writing him a note 'can't you see there is a no smoking sign in your bus?' lol but i didnt do so because i'm an introvert, remember? sigh...

(U THINK U COOL, MISTER? U THINK U COOL?!)

2. Cutting/jumping queue

well, as a civilized human being, no matter how foolish it looks like to some people, i always try to queue orderly for anything (queueing for food, queueing for registration, queueing for buses etc) because i was educated like that and it is only the right thing to do. i'm pretty much a cool gal but some people just have the ability to strain the nerves i have in my body.

(this pic might look cool but the people who do this ain't cool at all)

so here is a thing i learnt after 2 years of taking buses to go places about people in my place who take buses too. i think they're afraid of the bus going to disappear suddenly or the bus leaving without them because they enter the bus like it's sparta! seriously. it's both terrifying and annoying to see. all the pushing and queue jumping! ugh that's why i never really bother to queue when it comes to entering buses. i just sit on a bench at the bus station and wait until the sparta war ended. just then i will make my way like a boss into the bus. i don't mind standing inside the bus as long as i reach my destination. there was one time though, i had to stand up for myself and others. i was queuing for the bus which just arrived and the passengers were getting off the bus. but before all the passengers got off the bus, some queuing people just cut the descending line and forced their way on to the bus. there were still like 3 or 4 people who on the bus who were forced to stay unmoved because of the rushing people. i couldn't stand it so i stopped the people behind me, letting the 3-4 people get off the bus and i entered the bus. i felt like i was the coolest that time haha

(why can't we have this sign in the public? PREACH)

3. Not giving the car signal indicator

(everyone who drives, please be smart. use this)

man, i don't even have a driving license (I'M PLANNING TO GET ONE SOON!) but it always bug me when people don't light the indicator when they want to change lane or to make a u-turn or to enter a junction. when i sit on the passenger seat in a car and see drivers whose car is in front of the one i'm in don't bother to give the signal, it's really frustrating and i feel bad to the driver who is driving beside me. i'll think to myself 'do these people actually think that we have the ability to read their minds and know when and where are they going?' no one is a mind reader. so please appreciate your life and other people's lives as well. road is a dangerous place if you're not driving safely. if your car signal indicator is broken, please use your hand to indicate where are you going. and please, get your car signal fixed.

(good guy rashid. be like rashid, everyone)

4. Littering

(I CAN'T AGREE MORE. THIS IS SO ACCURATE!!!)

where do i start with this? littering happens everywhere. EVERYWHERE. often i see people wind down their car window and throw their rubbish outside. and i'm like 'what on earth? can't you just keep your trash until you find a rubbish bin or a recycle bin?' i don't understand some people. they throw trashes all over the place and complain about the place being filthy later. they only regret it when they encounter diseases as the consequence of littering. i just don't get it? is it that hard to take your rubbish and throw it in the recycle bin? will break your hand to do so? will it make you look un-cool? NO. oppositely, it will make you look like the coolest civilized man who has fulfilled his duty to Mother Nature and be the human he is. though i am only an individual and one person can't probably do much different but whenever i see litter on the ground or in my way, i will pick it up and throw it in the rubbish bin. didn't we learn that in school? or some are taught differently from me?

(if you can't find a nice person, be a nice person)
(make a difference today)

5. Spitting

we humans have mouth and our mouth naturally waters and accumulate inside our mouth. so, here's a thing. when your mouth is full with your saliva, you swallow it. i repeat, swallow it. but still there are people in the public who spit. yeah, i know right? EWW. like previous few points, i don't get why do they need to spit when they can just swallow the water down their throat? it's the water from your own mouth, for goodness' sake. why do you need to stain the ground or the path with it? it seriously make you an uncool person. if you're brushing your teeth, spitting is fine because swallowing toothpaste isn't actually the healthiest thing to do, but even then you spit in the sink. not on the ground, not on the path where people walk. even you won't step on your own spit on the ground because it's dirty, so do you think others would consider it to be clean? do your own math. and do you know you can spread influenza and tuberculosis by spitting? if you didn't know, now you know.

(well, if you think others' lives don't matter, then you're dead wrong)
(be smart. save your own life and others)

so there you have the top 5 bad habits of people in the public that i can't stand. of course, there are many more of bad habits that i despise with passion but these 5 are in the top 5, i feel like ripping my hair every time i see any of them happen. people cry 'save our earth, save our earth!' or 'be a proper human being!' all the time. but in all seriousness and honesty, the world won't change if the people themselves don't want to change for the better. set example for others, especially to the younger generation so that when we are old, we won't have to regretfully say, "i wish i had taught them about being human properly rather than just being a human being."
